Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Firewall IP Slack app and website at https://firewall-ip.bot (together, the "Service"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the organization whose Slack workspace you connect. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The service

Firewall IP lets teams request, approve, and automatically expire temporary IP allowlist entries across supported cloud providers (AWS security groups and GCP Cloud SQL) from Slack. You are responsible for the cloud credentials you connect, the projects you configure, and the access granted through the Service.

Your responsibilities

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with your organization’s policies.
• Only connect cloud accounts and grant access you are authorized to manage. You must not use the Service to reach systems you do not control.
• Keep the credentials you provide scoped to the least privilege the Service needs, and rotate them promptly if you believe they are compromised.
• Manage who in your workspace holds Bot Admin, approver, and member roles.

Plans and billing

Firewall IP is offered on Free, Starter, Pro, and Business plans, billed per Slack workspace. Paid plans are available monthly or annually and are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; by subscribing you also agree to Stripe’s terms. Plans differ by the number of active projects a workspace may use. If you downgrade below your current project count, the projects beyond your new plan’s limit are frozen — their data is retained but they cannot take new requests — until you upgrade or remove a newer project.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can change plans or cancel at any time from the Manage billing link in the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access continues until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial billing periods. We may change prices with reasonable advance notice, effective for future billing periods.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for verifying that the firewall changes made through the Service match your intended access.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Firewall IP and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, access, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and uninstall the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe risks harm to the Service or others. On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end.
