Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Firewall IP ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you install and use the Firewall IP Slack app and website at https://firewall-ip.bot.

Information we collect

To provide the service, Firewall IP stores the minimum data needed to manage temporary IP allowlist entries, including:

• Slack workspace, user, and channel identifiers, and the installing user’s email — used to identify your workspace at sign-in and for billing.
• Project configuration, including references to your AWS security groups and GCP Cloud SQL instances and the cloud credentials you provide.
• IP allowlist requests and grants (IP address, reason, expiry, approver), and an audit log of related actions.
• Billing records such as your plan, subscription status, and a customer reference held by our payment provider. Card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored by us.

How we use information

We use this information solely to operate the service: to apply and revoke firewall rules, route approvals, send notifications, detect drift, maintain an audit trail, and manage subscriptions. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Sharing and subprocessors

We share information only with the providers needed to run the Service — including Slack (app platform), our cloud hosting and database provider, and Stripe (payments) — and only as needed to deliver the Service. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Data retention

We retain configuration, billing, and audit records while your workspace uses the Service. When you uninstall the app or cancel and your workspace becomes inactive, we delete the associated data — including stored cloud credentials — within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your workspace’s data at any time by contacting us.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Cloud credentials are encrypted at rest and used with least-privilege scopes; traffic is served over TLS; and access to production systems is restricted to authorized operators. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect to what the Service needs.

Your choices

You can review and change your projects, approvers, and members in the app, manage your subscription from the Manage billing link, and remove the Service entirely by uninstalling it from your Slack workspace.
